Hi everybody... I'm a little grumpy today. I have known for quite some time that my family isn't Christian and it has not bothered me...until now. As my Mommy was reading all the holiday posts in the Savannah Cat group on Facebook, I was peeking over her shoulder and realized that I am being deprived of a sacred cat appreciation ritual!
Every year at Christmas, all the Christians bring a tree into their homes for their kitties to climb. Then, they put jingly, blinky, dangly things ALL OVER the tree just so their kitties can knock them crashing to the floor. As if all that doesn't sound exciting enough, sometimes the kitties have to complete a special mission before they get to knock things off the tree. These special missions can vary in complexity. Some kitties have to hone in on their paw dexterity and open a door to get to the sacred tree. Others have to jump fences or conquer 'the stink.' Sadly, I will never know these pleasures that Christian kitties likely take for granted.
My life is pretty good compared to a lot of other kitties lives though. When I want a piece of chicken to snack on between meals, all I have to do is give kisses. I can have catnip anytime I want, except bedtime. Mommy makes me a new toy at least once a week and Daddy let's me chew on his tasty insoles. I guess I'm one happy heathen kitty after all! Happy holidays!

Snuggle Season Approaches
![]() |
| Savannah Cat Bob & his Mommy |
A few nights ago while I was guarding the neighborhood from the lookout on the catio, it got really cold. It confused me because I thought cold-time was over. Hot-time is nice because the windows are open and the squirrels can hear me yell at them. It's not very comfortable to snuggle on laps during hot-time though. I've been settling for the next-to-lap-snuggle but it just isn't the same.
So, on this particularly chilly night, I jumped off my lookout and went to find Mommy's lap. It was just as warm and snuggly as I remembered! Her and Daddy gave me a bunch of kisses too, which made me pur! Then I tried to stretch out but I couldn't...not and stay on Mommy's lap. I had to curl myself up into a tight little ball to fit on her lap. I know her lap was big enough for me to stretch out during the last cold-time. This is why I am worried that she may be shrinking.
Luckily, we figured out a way for most of me to be on her lap while the rest of me lays on a pillow next to her.

Bob the Savannah Cat - Entry 017
Hey, Everybody! You won't believe what happened at my house the other day. Mommy and I looked out the window to watch the squirrels and there was a bunch of stuff falling right out of the sky! It was tiny pieces of white stuff and it stuck all over the ground. I was scared and refused to get off my perch on Mommy's wheelchair. She said it's called "snow" and can't get me though because I'm a house cat.
Well, later that night while I was doing my routine security checks, I made a horrifying discovery! My rubber duckies were stranded in a giant bowl of snow in the bathtub!

Bob the Savannah Cat - Entry 016
Hi, internet peoples! Today has been a really interesting day. Mommy said that since I'll be four months old next week and I already weigh 5 1/2 pounds, that I'm big enough to use the big boy potty instead of using the cat box that is in the people bathroom.
I was excited until I found out that the big boy potty is a cat box in the big, scary basement. I'm not sure how I feel about this because I really like making peepees when Mommy does. She won't let me make poopies with her though.
We reached a compromise. I get to keep my cat box in the people bathroom until I'm not scared of the basement anymore. Here is a video we made today of the first time Mommy let me go down the scary basement steps. I'll keep you all updated on my progress.

Bob the Savannah Cat - Entry 013
Hi, everybody! It's me, Bob the Savannah Cat! I'm almost 4 months old now and life is good.
Recently, some people in wheelchairs emailed my Mommy and said that they want a Savannah Cat too. They are scared though, that they won't be able to play with or take care of a Savannah Cat from a wheelchair.
As you can see, I love having a Mommy who uses a wheelchair because I get to ride on it with her! So, we decided to make a series of videos to show everybody what a great team we are! If you learn anything from our videos, we'd love to hear about it!
Mommy said to mention that she made the toy used in this video out of a stick she found outside, a leather cord she took off of an old handbag, and tissue paper that was stuffed in a new pair of shoes.
Oh, sorry about Mommy's lack of proper people wear. Parents can be so embarrassing!

Bob the Savannah Cat - Entry 010
As you know, I'm my Mommy's special helper. That's why she had Uncle Ian make me a special perch on Mommy's house-car so that I can supervise everything she does! I'm not big enough yet to jump up there from the floor so I just climb up the post in the back.
If your Mommy or Daddy drives a house-car and you want a special perch made, email me and I'll put you in touch with my Uncle Ian.
